The mission of Oregon SunGrown Growers’ Guild is to advocate, promote and protect traditional SunGrown medicinal cannabis. We are dedicated to the development and preservation of SunGrown cannabis seeds and genetics. We believe that sustainable SunGrown agricultural methods produce a superior holistic medicine.
Meet Our Team:
Paul Loney- Attorney at Law
Paul is our pro-bono attorney. He has practiced in both Oregon State and Federal Courts for the past 20 years. He has extensive experience working with numerous state and local government agencies on a wide range of administrative issues. He represents clients in diverse business law issues such as the formation of non-profit and LLC business entities, as well as contract formation and disputes. Paul Loney has extensive litigation experience with various criminal defense cases, especially drug-related issues, at both the trial and appeals court levels. He also represents clients with both simple and complex estate planning issues.
He has served as Oregon’s representative to the National Green Party for 10 years. He is a longstanding member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association, The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), the National Lawyers Guild, and the Oregon Wildlife Federation. Paul Loney has been a featured legal expert on Cannabis Common Sense, and on Oregon NORML Presents. He has also presented at civil liberty, legal and criminal defense training and has served on various community advisory committees.
Jonathan Manton- Sawnee Services
Jonathan Manton is our lobbyist with a diverse public service career. A graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law, Jonathan has well over a decade of professional experience in Oregon state government and politics. He is the Principal of Sawnee Services, a small business providing government relations and campaign services to public interest oriented clients throughout Oregon. He has authored and spearheaded many pieces of legislation including recent laws that: provide funding for legal services to survivors of domestic violence; improve crosswalk safety for pedestrians and the disabled; protect the Metolius Basin as Oregon’s first Area of Critical State Concern; allow bike/ped projects to be eligible for transportation funding; and place limits on suction dredge mining in Oregon rivers.
Cedar Grey-President, OSGG
Cedar Grey is President of the OSGG Board of Directors. Additionally, as a member of the OLCC Rules Advisory Committee, Mr. Grey advises the OLCC in implementation of Oregon’s recreational
cannabis program. He and his wife own and operate Siskiyou Sungrown LLC, and are raising four children. Siskiyou Sungrown grows organic sun grown cannabis in the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon, and specializes in organic decarboxylated cannabis oil, extracted using certified organic cane alcohol, and available in Oregon dispensaries. Mr. Grey has been growing organic sun grown cannabis under Oregon’s medical program since 2000, and he believes in the healing power of pure cannabis.
Gina Erdmann- Director, OSGG
Gina Erdmann is our Executive Director and a member of the rules advisory committee. Ms. Erdmann has over 10 years of combined professional experience in assisting, office management,
customer service, and product marketing. She has worked with various brands, record labels, and
musicians on a local and national scale.
Peter Gendron (Pioneer Pete, Omnibudsman)-Board Member
Pete along with his wife originated the GreenWave Freedom Fair and Hemp Festival in Indiana in 1995. Since moving to Oregon over 20 years ago, Pete has actively participated in the cannabis legalization effort, supporting groups such as Voter Power, and ballot measures 67, 72, and 91.
Pete is also an organizer of Oregon Cannabis Cup, a founding member of the Oregon Cannabis Industry Association and Salem Cannabis Industry Association, and is on the OLCC’s Licensing, Compliance and Enforcement RAC. Read an interview with Pete in the Willamette weekly.
Rob Pendell- Board Member
Rob has been a business owner and entrepreneur in the Rogue Valley for over 20 years. He’s been very active in the cannabis industry for most of his
adult life. He helped many small and medium sized businesses grow through his consulting
business in the early part of this new century before retiring to his farm in 2011 where he works on farming efficiency, sustainable farming practices, and creating the perfect lemonade.
